Safety before anything else
Check that you and your passengers are safe, turn on your hazard lights and move away from traffic if you can.
Call emergency services if needed
Ambulance 122 if anyone is hurt, police 104, and civil defence 115 for fire or rescue.
Record the accident
- Photos of the damage on every vehicle, from several angles
- Photos of the plates, the scene and any signs
- The other party’s name, phone number, plate number and insurer
- Witnesses’ names and numbers
Get the official report
Follow the police or traffic officers’ instructions and get the accident report; it is one of the key claim documents.
Do not settle before talking to us
Do not agree compensation or sign a waiver with the other party before contacting your insurer.
Tell us as soon as possible
Report it in the customer portal or ask our claims team to call you. The sooner you report, the easier it is to handle.
